Shaolin Life Method

Program Instructor – Demmel Laszlo

Laszlo was intrigued with the mysterious East from the earliest of years. As a boy growing up in his native Hungary he read all available books that opened his eyes and imagination to the arts and literature of Asia.
Being a energetic, rowdy boy, with his interest in everything from the East, it was a natural step to choose Judo as means to burn off all that extra energy. He joined the Spartacus SC Judo Club, sponsored by the Hungarian Judo Federation where he trained and taught until the 1980s when his career lead him to China.

By the mid-‘80s Laszlo was working and living in Beijing. His free-time was spent practicing with Tai Chi and Qi Gung masters in the Beijing parks gaining an in-depth appreciation and understanding of this mysterious art.

On returning to Hungary by the mid-‘90s, he joined the recently arrived Hungarian Shaolin Temple introduced by Sifu Robert Lions. He began his long study of the kung fu and internal styles of the Shaolin Temple. Later on he took part in founding the Hungarian Kung Fu Association and his own Wushu school in Budapest.

The club taught Shaolin Kung Fu, Modern Wushu, Tai Chi, Sanda and Qi Gung. While developing the Hungarian Shaolin Temple, various renowned Shaolin masters where invited from China to teach and train the students. Grand Master Shi De Yang (the leader of the 32nd generation), Master Shi Xing Hong (9 times China Kung Fu Champion), Master Duan Zichao (7 times China Kung Fu Champion). Laszlo had the privilege to be taught by each of them.

During his years with the Hungarian Shaolin Temple, Laszlo took three to four months at a time to study at the main temple in China. He was taught particular hard styles, including; Tiger, Mantis and Louhan Chuen and different kinds of traditional weapons. His studies of internal styles included: Yang Shi Tai Chi Ch’uan, and soft Qi Gung. The deeper Shaolin teachings were revealed to him by the Chan practices, which taught external and internal arts and traditional Chinese medicine.

After three years of study Laszlo became a Healing Master of Prananady Method and temple licensed Natural Healer of Acupuncture. By 2004 Laszlo’s career brought him back to China after which he finally settled in Phuket. In early 2009 he joined with the Tai Chi Center, Phuket to offer his remarkable Shaolin Life Method healing arts to all
